When I was in Pasadena, CA, a friend recommended we visit the Norton Simon Museum. Inside, you'll find collections ranging from 14th-century European art to American Modern art. There was a plentitude of Degas paintings, sculptures, and maquettes of small ballerinas that eventually became sculptures. You'll also find works of Renoir, Gauguin, Cezanne, Old Masters (such as Rembrandt), Impressionists, Modern, Indian, and Southwest Asian art.
Outside the museum was this extraordinary landscape. It had just rained. Aren't the colors magnificent? The pink against the greens against the mountains under the stormy grey clouds. I love it.
