I miss SANENESS in this world

I found this clipping from a time when there wasn't the sheer madness of what is happening in Minneapolis, in the news, and in our country. MURDERS are happening in our streets. Americans shooting fellow Americans. It is all so horrible. I desperately miss the simpler times of feeling safe, and having pride in being an American. WTF is happening???????

While in Bedford for a friend's reading at Bedford Public Library . . .

I stopped by one of my favorite shops,  Bedford Books . Delighted to see My Stroke in the Fast Lane on the local authors' table.  As a writer herself, owner Fran Hauser has created a wonderful space that supports and inspires the local writing community. Thank you, Fran!

Hey, Hey, We're The Monkees!!

Could anyone (besides me) use a little levity right now??  Take a break.  Read "Mrs. Davy Jones 4-ever" as a mini-reprieve (or petite vacance)  from all the horrendous news at the moment.

Happy 1st Heavenly Birthday to an Extraordinary Mother

Our Favorite New Year's Day Baby. Here we are celebrating Mom's 80th Birthday at LYC. My mother will be forever remembered for 1. Saving my life when she grabbed the steering wheel as I had a stroke on I-95 and 2. Her inimitable style, grace, sense of humor, wit, wisdom ... wait, that's 3, 4,5 ... I could go on for eternity. Among the many words received the past few days: "She was always, among other things, our favorite dinner guest. Betty made the room come alive," "Bonni, you are blessed having your mom as your guardian angel. Cherish the memories!" and  " She was a true hero."       Happy First Heavenly birthday, Mom!  <3
