POUND RIDGE PAST @ Pound Ridge Harvest Festival

I'll be signing books at the Pound Ridge Library author's table  at the upcoming   Pound Ridge Harvest Festival .   Mark your calendars for Saturday afternoon, October 13  in Scotts Corners  on Westchester Avenue  in Pound Ridge  on a beautiful autumn day (we hope)  in the state of New York.

Batten Down the Hatches

Hold onto your hats. Thar's a storm blowin' in. Haul out the tarpaulins. Hunker down. Be lively and harness the winds. Bring home the cows. Hurry, mate, and reef the sail. Shut the front door.        The Accuweather forecasts a thrashing night of storms ahead for the Northeast. Sugar maples in our field are bending from the heavy winds. Shimmy, shimmy, shake, shake.      Be safe, kind readers. Call me in the morning and let me know you weathered the storm.

Twelection What?

Do you know what "Twelect" is?  Peops, we're in the election season wind-up. You should know! Read all about "Twelect" and more in the newest issue of Times of Brunswick: http://www.brunswickschool.org/about-brunswick/times-of-brunswick/ You'll be shocked. You'll be awed.  You'll think, "Geez. Why didn't I think of that?"

Kitaciousness

Summer night in Pound Ridge

My son and his belle came up from the city to spend the weekend with us in Pound Ridge. Is there anything better than G&T's on the patio, grilling for dinner, then treasuring the moment even more as the sun sets, the full moon shines through the trees and a pesky firefly lands on the kerosene lantern? I don't think so.  As my good friend, Robbie, says ... "Living the dream."
