"My Stroke in the Fast Lane" highlighted in E. Best's column, "Best Foot Forward"
I am truly honored that Ellen Best highlighted me in the first writing of her new column, "Best Foot Forward." In it, she writes, "My previous column, the Talk of the Town, was created by former Pound Ridge resident Bonni Brodnick, who passed it on to me almost 15 years ago. ..." She goes on to mention my first book, "Pound Ridge Past: Remembrances of Our Townsfolk," but my stroke seems to have influenced her most.

Living In An Alternative Universe
I used to think it was important to know what's in the news. To be uninformed was a nasty word.
Now, I WANT to be uninformed. It's the only way I can survive this Orange Face in the White House regime. But, the other night, before slipping off to sleep, I went into another room of the house and binged. And this was the most disturbing: seeing Trump and his Coterie of Bad Choices on a plane eating McDonald's. Is this ferrrrrealll? Trump, Musk, Don Jr., House Speaker Mike Johnson, and ... wait ... is that RFK, Jr., the guy chosen to be Health and Human Services secretary? It's probably the first time he's held a McD's hamburger, Coke (no less), and FRENCH FRIES? WTF??
I had nightmares the entire night. Not kidding.

"Twins" in Pink
(For background music as you read this, click here.)
Walking down 57th Street, I noticed this pair wearing the EXACT same thing: black pants and flamboyant pink sweaters. When I got in from of them, I asked, "Twins?"
The man said, "NOT twins! We're married 46 years. I guess if you're a couple for that long, you start looking like twins!"
